Singer-actress Karylle granted an exclusive interview with Philippine STAR’s Ricky Lo that came out last November 9. Karylle, herself a columnist in the said daily broadsheet, talked about her recent breakup with Dingdong Dantes after three years of going steady. Karylle revealed that “the breakup happened end of September.” Although, before that, she said that they were still “trying to fix things.” But in the end, they both decided to end their relationship.
“It’s over!” Karryle told Ricky Lo in his entertainment column “Funfare” of Philippine Star, confirming the reported fallout of her relationship with Dantes that has been circulating in tabloids and entertainment shows for several days
“Yes, break na kami,” said Dantes, confirming the rumored breakup.
“It was the result of a long process,” said Dantes. “Basta magkaiba ang priorities namin we did try hard to iron things out and save our relationship but…”
Beyond that, the ex-sweethearts would say nothing more. When asked if there’s a third party involved, Dantes said there isn’t — not even actress Marian Rivera whose name is being dragged as one of the causes of the breakup.
Dantes explained that he doesn’t want his breakup to be used as a promo for his upcoming movie with Rivera. “Ever since we started going steady, Karylle and I tried to draw a line between our careers and our private lives,” Dantes added.
The ex-sweethearts’ love story lasted for three years. Last Friday, November 7, it was announced that Karylle has decided to leave GMA-7 and move to ABS-CBN. Some showbiz experts say that Karylle’s transfer is also a way for her to move on, since Dingdong and Marian are considered to be the hottest love team in GMA-7.

maganda nga ang angkan ni Karylle, but lets face it, mas maganda pa si Zsa Zsa sa kanya, she is not that attractive, very ordinary ang face…napapansin lang siya dahil celebrity but she is not really that beautiful and pretty. mas marami pang ordinary person ang mas maganda sa kanya.

Ako din hindi ako fan ng tatlong yan. napapanuodko lang interviews nila at nasusubaybayan ang mga showbiz chismis. Sayang naman ang 3years nilang pinagsamahan. Nadevelop lang siguro si Dingdong kay Marian dahil lagi sila magkasamaat magkaeksena at maganda talaga si Marian.
