Last September 15, Tuesday at Madison Square Garden in New York City, USA, the young Filipina singing sensation, Charice’s dream to perform a duet with one of her international star, Celine Dion came true. Charice and Celine sang the hit song “Because You Loved Me” dedicated to Charice’s mom Raquel Pempengco. Celine introduced young diva by telling her life story first.
“This young girl’s name is Charice. I’m so excited. She’s 16 years old and she’s from the Philippines. Let me tell you she has a voice that can literally blow the roof off Madison Square. But the real story is, Charice and her mom escaped a terrifying experience and had to leave Charice’s violent father. You know, to start a life on their own, Charice vowed to save her mom from life’s desperation. Through prayers and dreams and God-given talent, an incredible voice, Charice entered and won every singing contest in her native country and eventually got noticed. By such a fortunate chance people saw the show on Oprah and Oprah wanted to take her under her wing and David Foster joined them.”
After Celine’s introduction to Charice she then invited her to come up on stage and join her. Celine then greeted Charice and told how beautiful she was that night. Celine also asked the Charice how she feels to be with her on the same stage and Charice admitted that she’s nervous but Celine calmed her and said that she does not have to be. Then they begun to sing the lovely song “Because You Loved Me.”

As for you, you’re just jealous.
It’s tragic because this kind of atrocious behaviour is only seen in Filipinos. This is why the Philippines will always be a third world country. Because of people like you who behave like animals towards your fellow Filipinos.
You cannot even appreciate the pride and recognition that your country is getting worldwide as a result of Charice’s fantastic talent and stage presence. And this would benefit other Philippine artists in future.
Sadly, you are only ruining it for yourselves. No matter what you say about Charice, she will still get the recognition, the fame and the money!

I would say that Celine Dione was very nice to invite Charice to sing with her. Oprah as well, and of course Ellen.Americans and Celine are very kind hearted people to treat Filipino with Respect.Thanks to them
