28 years old filipina actress Anne Curtis finally stars with Muhlach-as his leading lady, in the film “When Love Begins.” Curtis had been wanting to work with Mulach-the most-sought leading man in Philippine Entertainment. “I remember that during the press conference of [the Peque Gallaga film] Magic Kingdom, I was still 12 years old then I remembered saying that someday I want to work with Aga Muhlach. It’s a dream come true and I really looked upon him as my idol,” Curtis said.
The movie “When Love Begins”, Muhlach plays the character of Ben Caballero, a lawyer-turned-environmentalist who loves casual dating. He meets Michelle Valmonte (played by Curtis), an attractive young woman who works as a marketing assistant for her dad’s company. Their meeting in the romantic island paradise of Boracay sparks off an intense, sexual relationship that is non-commital: Michelle is afraid of committed relationships and would rather maintain an open-ended, no-strings-attached liason with Ben. As they fall deeper and deeper into the relationship however, they begin to face difficulties that ultimately cause them to decide whether they should finally take the risk that comes with commitment.
“When Love Begins” also stars Christopher de Leon, Boots Anson-Roa actor Ronaldo Valdez and 2007 Urian Best Supporting Actor Rafael Rosell. The film also includes a formidable supporting cast in Dimples Romana, Mandy Ochoa, Desiree del Valle, Angel Jacob, AJ Dee, Jon Avila and Dionne Perz. The movie is written and directed Joey Javier Reyes and is a joint venture between ABS-CBN’s movie outfit Star Cinema and Viva Films. Feel the love this summer with “When Love Begins” as it opens on April 30, 2008 in over 150 theaters in the country.
