Media Performance Mentor, Jose Javier Reyes told the three scholars of Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 that their screen names will be changed because their real names are considered unattractive, dull, unintentionally amusing or difficult to pronounce or spell. Sometimes a performer adopts a name that is unusual or outlandish to attract attention but this time around the mentors decided for easy and more likely familiar Filipino surnames.
Laarni Losala, Van Pojas and Bugoy Bogayan will be known now as Laarni Lozada, Van Roxas and Bugoy Drilon respectively. The other three contenders among the top 6 scholars will still adopt their real names, Cris Pastor, Miguel Mendoza and Liezel Garcia.

I beg to disagree with the screen name LOZADA given by Mr. Joey Reyes, because LOZADA is sounds like LOSALA and for most of us LOSALA is already familiar last name of Laarni and Lozada is something that I would really think a misspelled of Losala.
Losala is not that hard to pronounce neither hard to remember so better yet stick to her real last name for I think there is nothing wrong with it……….JM-TFC New York

I think it’s only bugay who should change the family name from BUGOYAN TO DRILLON, to make it sounds “sosyal”. The rest of the top 6, sound ok naman. So, I wonder why the abs changed the others FN into something else. Maybe because it’s really bugoy’s family name that they wanted to change but not to sounds offensive to Bugay’s part and to his fans, abs changed some of the top 6 also..
